Justin Russell is a Colorado native growing up in Jefferson County in the cities of Morrison and Lakewood. Having served overseas in the US NAVY, he was honorably discharged in 2001. Utilizing the G.I. Bill he achieved his R.N. Degree and practiced in nursing in the fields of neurology and geriatrics until he found his true passion of insurance in 2007. Learning as an insurance producer he worked his way towards his first agent appointment in 2015. Successfully and gratefully utilizing this opportunity he increased his knowledge and skill leading him to open his own independent insurance agency with his partner and husband Matt. Justin and Matt are currently residing in Cripple Creek where they are raising their teenage daughter. Justin is optimistic and excited to be serving his community in Teller County.
Matthew Schmitt hails originally from Wheeling, WV, and has lived in Colorado since 2001. He attended Mount Union College in Alliance, OH and graduated with a BA in English, minoring in Computer Information Systems. He has worked in the Financial Services industry for 26 years in a wide variety of roles starting with customer service and processing, up to his most recent role of Associate Director of IT. He co-founded SkyLine Insurance in 2023 with his husband of 11 years, Justin Russell. In his time with Justin, he has gained a wealth of knowledge about the insurance industry. Coupled with his customer service and technology experience, he is looking forward to providing the residents and business owners of the area a top notch experience. Together they are raising a daughter in Cripple Creek and are happy and excited to be part of, and of service to, the community at large.
